Connor woke up at 6:30! I talked him into climbing into bed with me for an hour before we woke Jason up though. Then he raced down stairs (snake in hand) to see if Santa had come.
Wow! Santa left white foot prints
And he ate all the yummy sugar cookies Connor left for him! We grabbed the bowl from the front porch and found the reindeer had gobbled up all the carrots too... there were just a few crumbs and a nibbled carrot left.
Connor was so excited for dad to open the gift he picked out for him at the Santa Express. A key chain light and butterfly.
Then Connor ripped into his presents under the tree
and his stocking Santa filled by the fireplace.
checking out the silly putty Santa put in his stocking
and the cool lady bug and grass hopper that walk down windows.
Connor got almost everything that was on his list this year. A stuffed cheetah, a purple stuffed dragon that talks, a rock polisher, some soft fleece pants and sweat shirts (yes, he requested some Old Navy fleece clothes), a Crayola glow book, a kit to makes all kinds of cool forts (listed as THE gift this year), Angry Birds game, new book, several rubber snakes, lots of purple cars, batman toys and more.
Connor and Jason got me a WSU sweatshirt, WSU Christmas ornament, gift card and movie tickets.
Connor and I got Jason a pair of hiking/rain shoes that he wanted. He also bought himself a pair... just in case there wasn't a pair under the tree. He also got a heart monitor for running, a game he said he played when he was a kid and loved called LCR, chocolate covered nuts and a variety of specialty beers.
After all the gifts were open and our bellies were full.. Connor jumped in the bath with his new rubber snakes. He actually asked me to take the fish out of his tank and fill it with real snakes. I opted to get him some rubber snakes instead and he seems pretty happy with that decision.
Then Nana and Grandpa arrived. Connor was excited to get his purple pony from them. Notice a theme here... purple! purple! purple! Connor got Nana a Snow Baby figurine with an owl. He actually wanted a Snow Baby with a Peregrine falcon, but since they don't make that he picked out the owl. Grandpa got a years subscription to one of his woodwork magazines, his favorite candy and the same joke gift that I made for Jason.

Connor managed to talk dad into building a butterfly with his new Puzzibits 3D art.Connor was glued to Grandpa's side all morning.
Christmas dinner. My brother, John and his family: Laura, Ryan and Alivia (Madison was at her boyfriends house), my parents and our family.
Jason built a rocket out of Connor's new fort kit.
After dinner we all played board games (except the little boys who had a blast playing down stairs in the play room... and Grandpa who wasn't feeling good so, he took a nap). First we played the new game Jason got for Christmas... LCR. Then we played scattergories and sipped on the wonderful wine John and Laura brought and ate the yummy desert Nana brought.

After everyone left we colored the pages to his new glow book
I feel so blessed! We had a perfect Christmas!
