Day 18- Shoshone Falls

Often referred to as the Niagara of the West, Shoshone Falls is a must see attraction in Twin Falls, Idaho.  At 212 feet tall and 900 foot wide, Shoshone Falls is one of the largest natural waterfalls in the United States surpassing the height of the famous Niagara Falls. Shoshone Falls is located on the Snake River as it carves its way through a deep basalt Canyon on its way to the Columbia River.

We arrived just before sunset and almost missed the sunset since we decided to follow the towns signage instead of GPS.  There is a narrow winding road that leads to the falls and we weren't sure if RV's are allowed, so we originally parked the RV at the top and started walking down the road.  Then we met a driver who said there is a huge parking lot at the bottom designed for RV's, so Jason walked back up the road to get our RV, while me and the boys continued walking down the road.  The falls were beautiful, but my fear of heights got the best of me and I couldn't stand right by the railing... something that Jason found hilarious.  Connor was fine with it though.  After we hiked around the area and checked out the river, then we ended our night at the Timmerman rest stop at 11:20pm.
