Terrific Tuesday

I had some outdoor activities planned for today, but apparently Mother Nature didn't get that memo.  So, we had fun with some more science projects.

First up: milk art.  Pour some milk into a pan, add a few drops of food coloring and then dip a tooth pick into dish soap.  Touch the colors and watch the cool patterns that form when the color tries to avoid the soap.

Next we tried to make a jelly fish project.  You cut and tie a plastic bag that is suppose to bob up and down in the water, but we couldn't get the correct mixture of water and air in the jelly fish head for this to work.  Ours either sunk to the bottom or floated on the top.  Oh well.

And lastly we made some ornaments out of salt and flour.

Spiderman (upside down), a spider, heart with Connor and my thumb prints, Connor's hand print and a bunch of stars.
This is the white flower with dyed purple/blue edges from yesterday's project.
