Connor turns 5

Connor's actual birthday fell on a Tuesday this year.  I text Jason that morning to see if he wanted to meet Connor and I at Chuck E Cheese for lunch, since that's what Connor said he wanted to do that day.  Somehow Jason turned him meeting us to play at lunch into us meeting him for a picnic at a park by his work instead.  After lunch Connor played on the equipment, but unfortunately the splash pad was turned off that day.

Then Connor and I went to Chuck E Cheese to play.

He decided to turn in some of his tickets for a squishy snake and cricket.  This kid loves his toy bugs.. and real bugs!
That evening Sue and Lauren came over for dinner.  Connor got to open his birthday gift from Sue... a remote control tarantula spider, a spider book, bug book and a fossil you dig for 3 real bugs set in marbles.

digging for his bugs wasn't working with the plastic tools they give you so, Connor had to bust out dad's big hammer.

After dinner Jason and Lauren hit plastic golf balls into the back of Connor's truck as he drove around the yard.

birthday ice cream.. Connor's favorite desert!

Happy Birthday sweet boy!
Jason made Connor a trophy shelf for his room.  There are 4 picture frames, which will eventually hold his sports team pictures.  Each side has 5 hooks for ribbons.  He currently has 1 ribbon for his bike race last year.  The trophy in the middle is from his T-ball team this year, the Twins.  The side trophies are actually one's Jason gave to Connor.
