Thor's Well, Newport, Lincoln City

7-14 We found fresh water and a RV dump off the highway. Stopped and we got took showers in the RV, then refilled water and dumped tanks. Stopped at the Sea Lion caves. Decided to just walk around a bit. The lady said there was over 100 wild sea lions in the cave and viewing point. We searched with binoculars but couldn't find a single sea lion in the water... so we find it hard to believe that there were any sea lions there and opted not to spend $100 to walk to their cave. I find it ridiculous how much everything cost now. Drove for a bit and stopped at Thor's Well by Cape Perpetua. Hiked down to the water and explored. It's a big sinkhole sucking in water from the Pacific. We also saw 3 wild whales in the water. Drove to Newport, Oregon. Went to Local Ocean Sea foods for lunch. They had really high reviews, but we found it to be just okay. Connor ordered a crab cake which was really good, but for the price it was pretty sad all he got was one crab cake. Kaiden had fish and fries off the kids menu and his portion size was larger than our adult menu plates. Jason had 2 fish taco's. He was not happy to find the fish was fried. I had a crab sandwich. It was good and there were some big pieces of crab meat and I also had some fries with mine. Overall, it was not worth the $80 price. Checked out Ripley's Believe it or not. After finding it would cost us over $100 to go inside and explore their odd creations we decided to pass. They still had some fun things outside to look at though. Walked on the boardwalk. Saw a wild seal and some tiny crabs. Drove to Lincoln City. Stayed the night at the Chinook Casino RV park. I made taco's for dinner and we played on the beach. Jason watched UFC fights while me and the boys walked to Cold Stone Ice cream for desert.
