7-13 We spent the day at Coos Bay. We walked on the boardwalk. Had lunch at Fishermen's Sea Food Market on the water- best fish and chips ever! Connor and I also had clam chowder and it was sooo good (with bacon in it)! We got groceries at Walmart. Found a RV dump site. Went to Cape Arago State Park. Walked on the beach, went for hikes, saw sea lions. Jason bought a license and him and the boys went clam digging. The collected a bucket of steamer/butter clams. We steamed them that night, but they didn't purge the sand very well so they were gritty. Jason ate a few. Connor and Kaiden both tried one, but ended up spitting it out. We couldn't find any dry camping boondocking sites in Coos Bay except the Walmart parking lot... so we stayed there.
