My bright eyed beauties. Connor has hazel/green eyes. Kaiden's eye color is changing from blue to a green/hazel/grey color. I can see a little shimmer of brown in there too. I'm sure since Jason and I both have brown eyes (along with everyone in our families except our dad's) Kaiden will end up with brown eyes as well. Connor just happened to get both recessive genes, but the chances of that happening twice is rare.
Our local library had a dinosaur day. The lady who gave the presentation has written several dinosaur books and brought in some replica dinosaur parts for the kids to explore. She also brought in some fossilized dinosaur poop, which the kids thought was neat to check out. It actually looked like a shiny polished rock.
That afternoon we had a hail storm. The hail started off small, but some of the chunks that hit the ground were about quarter size around. The hail storm only lasted about 10 minutes, but caused some serious damage. Spokane had trees down all over the place and people without power. My friend Shelly had a tree fall on her house! Staci had one of her trees split in half! Our neighbor across the street (Waylon and Elona's) their white vinyl fence looks like Swiss cheese! The hail storm punched quarter size holes through their vinyl fence! Connor, Kaiden and I were in the house when the storm hit and it sounded like someone was throwing rocks against our windows. Connor and I were standing right next to each other and we literally had to yell to hear each other. Thankfully the only damage we suffered was a hole in our boat canvas and a few marks on the boat.
