Silverwood

Two times every summer Silverwood offers a free ticket to the Silverwood theme park for anyone with a Toyota.  Connor had a free kids pass from his school for meeting his reading goal.  So, we dropped Kaiden off with Vicki for the day and arrived just after they opened at 11:30.  It was already roasting hot... we reached 100 degree's during the day.  We decided to hit Boulder Beach Water park first.  We started with the wave pool, then drifted down the lazy river in tubes and played in the kids Polliwog area.  Around 1:30 we met up with Travis, WeiWei, Max and Maddux.  We joined them back at the wave pool for a while and then drifted down the lazy river again.  We split up for lunch and lost them in the crowd.  We spent a little more time in the wave pool and then decided to explore the rest of the theme park.  Connor went on all the kids rides:  2 with Jason, 1 with me and the rest by himself.  Then he played a few carnival games and won some prizes.  We decided to end our day with a train ride around the theme park and by chance a few seats behind us was Travis, WeiWei, Max and Maddux!  From the time that we split for lunch they had gone on 4 water slides... while we hit 10+ kids rides, games and played in the wave pool.  We opted not to go on any of the water slides because the lines where too long and we didn't want to spend an hour waiting in line.

HA HA HA ... Jason was being funny and said I'm almost short enough to be able to go on this ride too.  He's right!  Being 5 foot zero means Connor and I can almost share things... like socks.  It's getting harder and harder to tell which socks are his and which are mine.  Especially since we both have little black ankle socks now.

What a great day!  We arrived at the park at 11:30 and left at 8:00.
