Pool

Saturday was our annual community yard sale.  Neither Jason or I like to finagle on prices, so we mark everything extremely low.  Yard sales are about de-cluttering our house and cleaning out the stuff we no longer need or use... not about getting rich.  We emptied our guest room completely out (this is now Kaiden's room) and gave the bed, night stand and desk to our neighbor, who's niece will be moving in to attend college soon.  We made $250 from our yard sale, which is incredible considering we gave most of the large items away for free and priced the majority of the stuff at only a few dollars.  At the end of the day Saturday anything that didn't sell we donated to our local thrift store, where all the proceeds go towards the food bank.  While we were having the yard sale in the front yard, Connor was playing in the back yard with our neighbors, Waylon and Elona.  Connor has been very anxious to set our pool up... so, we filled it with water during the yard sale.  Since it's a good size pool it takes several hours to completely fill with water.
Sunday Connor was ready to go swimming.  I expected the water to be freezing cold, which it was 52 degrees, but since the outside temperature was in the 90's the water felt great.  Connor had a blast.  Jason and I took turns joining him in the pool, while the other watched Kaiden.

I filled Kaiden's duck pool, which was formerly Connor's baby tub.  The garden hose was laying in the sun, so the water was nice and warm.  Kaiden wasn't quiet sure if he liked bathing outside at first, but then he realized he could kick his feet and splash in the warm water.  Our back yard doesn't get very much shade so, Kaiden only got to splash around for a few minutes in the sun before we moved his tub to a shady spot.

After Kaiden's pool time we dried him off and let him relax in a diaper in the shade.
